| 2002 Shenzhen International Forum on Logistics Informatization was organized by Shenzhen Association of Logistics and Storage with support from various government organizations, industry associations and enterprises. The Forum was held in Shenzhen WuZhou GuestHouse at 29th annd 30th of August 2002. Experts from successful international enterprises in the industry were invited to introduce and demonstrate state-of-the-art and valuable informatization cases on logistics, such as 21LC-VC team from Toshiba, Knichi, Mitsubishi, and AIS, China Netcom Corporation, Hong Kong Logistics Association, Chain Merchant Group DiChain Systems Ltd., etc., and to share obstacles that were encountered throughout practical operations in logistics enterprises. In the Forum, Mr Philip Lam, CEO of FFCA, was invited as one of the guest speakers and has delivered his speech on the topic of e-Logistics. Latest technological developments for business applications in logistics were discussed, such as electronic data interchange (EDI), enterprise resources planning (ERP), global positioning system (GPS), warehouse management system (WMS), bar-coding system, etc. Audiences of business executives from Shenzhen logistics enterprises had shown great interest in Mr. Lam¡¦s speech and had raised a lot of questions. There was mass exchange of ideas between the speaker and audiences, on the subject of latest logistics development that audiences are currently facing. |
